Sugar Creek Soaps and Candles welcomes you to our website and we'd love to welcome you to our town. My name is Sandra Belue and I own Sugar Creek Soaps and Candles. I've lived in Alabama all my life and the Rogersville Area for the last 33 years. The Candle and Soap business dropped into my lap and though I've been encouraged to move to a bigger town, my heart belongs in Rogersville. I think everybody needs to visit at least once.
If you're in the area, please visit us. Some of the most beautiful scenery in the world is right here in North Alabama. Fishing, Golfing, Shopping, Boating, and Relaxing are just a few things we have an abundance of here in Rogersville. With Joe Wheeler Resort and Lodge within 5 minutes of downtown Rogersville, you'll have no trouble finding a place to relax and recharge.
We want to show you that Southern Hospitality, so we're trying our hardest to meet the needs of our guests.
Between Memorial Day and Labor day Sugar Creek Soaps and Candles along with several other gift and antiques shops will be opening on Friday nights here in Rogersville.
And we're open till 8pm or later for our First Saturdays Events from April through September. Join us for these First Saturdays at 5pm for ENTERTAINMENT and SPECIAL SALES, plus an area for CRAFT VENDORS to set up and sell their wares. Whether you're a craft vendor interested in setting up a booth, or an entertainer who'd love to join us, or one of our many visitors to the area, You're Invited!!!
Our Volunteer Fire Department in Rogersville has been having a Fish Fry for the last couple of years on tje First Saturday of each month, so you can begin your afternoon at 4pm with a wonderful meal of either fried catfish fillets or fried chicken fingers,($8.00 per plate) sit down and eat there and then come downtown (across the parking lot) to Lee Street where we have music and entertainment from 5:pm- 8pm.
