At Sugar Creek we're glad to see or hear from you anytime.  We make hand-poured candles,  soaps and bath products.  We love what we do!  Let me tell you a little about Sugar Creek's beginnings.

Sugar Creek is actually a creek that runs down from Tennessee and through north  Alabama, where three sweet ladies who are sisters and cousins grew up.  These ladies began making soaps first, then candles, and both  became so popular that they couldn't keep up. 

 Their lives were full and they had begun  Sugar Creek Soaps & Candles more as a hobby than a business.  But as all great ideas do, it soon became more work than they had anticipated.  That's where I came in.  One of those ladies is my sister-in-law.  She was approached by a company for a management position so she soon began a  new career.  Her sister and cousin decided to bite the bullet and start their own retail shop.  After a few months they had so much to do that the storefront was too much for them.  They hired me as their retail shop manager.  Pretty soon they were leaving the running of the shop to me and even some of the manufacturing.  I loved it!!! My children had grown up and moved out and for the first time in 21 years my husband and I were home alone.  I'd spent all those years working at home and volunteering at church and school, but I'd always dreamed of working in retail, so this was a job made in Heaven for me.

Eight months after I began working, the girls came in one day and said they'd decided to offer the shop to me.  It was an offer I couldn't refuse.  It's been interesting, to say the least, over the last 2 years since I bought the business.  I've made lots of friends,and there's never a dull day at Sugar Creek.  Look  at  our site and let me know how you like it.  Try our candles and our bath and body products.  I think you'll love them as much as I do.

This is Sugar Creek's sixth year in business and we're loving every minute of it!
